New 3-Unit Classroom Block for Atorkor School PDF Print E-mail

The ADF and the Central Baptist Church, Chelmsford, (CBCC)UK have successful completed the construction of the 3-unit classroom block for the Atorkor School at a cost of £45,000 (UK Pounds Sterling).

The new building will help reduce the large class sizes.  There was an elaborate function in Atorkor  on 18th August 2010 to open the new school building. The opening ceremony was  performed by the then Minister of Education, Mr. Alex Tettey-Enyo. Among those present were the  local Member of Parliament Hon. Mr. C. K. Humado, the Keta Municipal Chief Executive, Ho. Mr. Sylvester Tornyeavah, the  Awadada of Anlo Togbi Agbesi Awusu  II, Togbi Tengey Dzokoto Gligui VI, head of the Bate clan of Anlo.

The trustees  and members of the  Foundation would like to render their sincere gratitude to the  Senior pastor, Rev. Dr. Paul Bearsdly- Murray and the congregation of the Central Baptist Church for their immense contribution towards the project. The Foundation would like to thank the project leader, Mr. John Rogers and his wife Mrs. Jean Rogers and the  wonderful team of members from the church who spent three weeks in Atorkor working with the local team to complete the project on time.
